Notwithstanding the huge advantage, which team Russia had already achieved in the preliminaries, multi word champions were a little bit nervous and concerned about their unexperienced partner Gelena Topilina who made her debut at the World Championships here, in Kazan. But she didn’t spoil the game.

The judges and spectators had already seen this “Kaleidoscope” programme at the European championship 2014 in Berlin. As the head coach of team Russia Tatiana Pokrovskaya said, they try to keep a good programme for the next season. Because over time the team executes the whole composition even better. Girls feel themselves more relaxed and confident. They are not so focused on technique, doing everything automatically, and can show all their passion and character.

Silver medallist Wenyan Sun (CHN): "We have performed very well today, so we are very happy. We are satisfied with the second place. It is our joint victory. For me it is not very difficult to compete with the Russian team".
Bronze medalist Kurumi Yoshida (JPN): "We were good at speed. We should perform the elements still better. We have a lot of work ahead. First of all, we should add up in artistic impression and in speed". 

Bronze medallist Team Japan : "Today we were expecting to be a though challenger. We came a long way and claimed a medal. I am so happy! The fact that Japan’s duet won a medal last night here in Kazan gave us extra power a great motivation for tonight.”
