On December 28, 2016, the swimmer LI Liuyuxin (CHN) was tested positive to the prohibited substance Erythropoietin, EPO (Class S.2 Peptide Hormones, Growth Factors, Related Substances and Mimetics) following an out-of-competition doping control test conducted by CHINADA.
The China Swimming Association imposed a sanction of four (4) years’ ineligibility period on the athlete in accordance with article 10.2.1. The ineligibility period started on February 3, 2017, the day of her provisional suspension.
Furthermore, the China Swimming Association imposed a sanction of four (4) years’ ineligibility period on the athlete’s coach, XIONG Guoming.
