Guo’s teammates in Ft. Lauderdale are expected to be her 3m synchro partner Minxia Wu, Olympic women’s platform gold medallists Ruolin Chen, and Olympic men’s platform silver medallist Luxin Zhou. But typically, divers from around the world attend the event, which is open to all FINA-affiliated Federations. Organisers expect competitors from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Macau, Mexico, Russia and Sweden. The home team this weekend is expected to include David Boudia, Chris Colwill, Troy Dumais, Christina Loukas and Ariel Rittenhouse.

The USA event, now in its 39th year, is internationally-known as a prestigious diving event that regularly draws top divers, including Olympic and world champions. Previous competitions have featured Olympic greats like Greg Louganis, Laura Wilkinson, Mark Lenzi and Dmitry Sautin, along with a host of top international competitors representing more than 25 countries. FINA Diving Grand Prix 2009 – Montréal (CAN), April 30-May 3

The fourth stop of the Grand Prix – also the Canada Cup 2009 - was held last weekend in Montreal (CAN) at the Olympic Park Sports Centre. The event was a superb showcase of talented Canadian divers such as Melanie Rinaldi, Jennifer Abel, Reuben Ross, Meaghan Benfeito, Roseline Filion and Emile Heymans, all of whom won medals at the event.

The was however, a multitude of international Olympians in attendance, including Olympic silver medallists Briony Cole and Melissa Wu of Australia, Sharleen Stratton (AUS), Cesar Castro (BRA), Juan Guilermo Uran Salazar (COL), Jose Guerra (CUB), Jorge Betancourt (CUB), Svetlana Filippova (RUS) and Ilya Zakharov (RUS).

FINA Diving Grand Prix 2009 – Madrid (ESP), May 29-31

The final stage of this year’s Grand Prix will be held in the superb sport city of Madrid at the Centro de Natacion M-86 from May 29-31. This event will double as the XXIV International Diving Meet. More information about entries will be available as the event draws closer.
