The powerhouse swimming country has announced an 18-athlete roster that’s set to compete in the Qatari capital city at the upcoming World Aquatics Championships. 

With a team comprised of five women and 13 men, the USA roster is stacked with athletes with international success. On the women’s side, Kate Douglass – the reigning world titlist in the women’s 200m IM  and silver medal winner in the 200m breaststroke – headlines the team, which also includes world medallists Claire Curzan, Katie Grimes and Claire Weinstein, and a newcomer on the senior international stage in Piper Enge.

Defending 50m and 100m backstroke world champion Hunter Armstrong leads a USA men’s team that also includes world medallists Nic Fink, Carson Foster, Shaine Casas, Michael Andrew, Luke Hobson and Matt King. The USA men’s roster is also complimented by Jack Aikins, Charlie Clark, Jake Foster, Will Gallant, Zach Harting and David Johnston.

USA Swimming said they will announce the open water swimming team at a later date. The final World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup event of the year is set to take place from 2-3 December 2023 in Funchal, Portugal.
