The FINA President Husain Al-Musallam has thanked the International Olympic Committee President Dr Thomas Bach for spending two days in Budapest, Hungary, at the start of the 19th FINA World Championships.
In addition to watching swimming and artistic swimming events, the IOC President also spoke at the FINA Extraordinary General Congress that was held on 19th June 2022.
Husain Al-Musallam said, “On behalf of the FINA family, including all our athletes, I would like to thank Dr Thomas Bach for including a visit to Budapest in his extremely busy schedule. Those who attended yesterday’s Extraordinary General Congress were inspired by his vision for the future. FINA is more committed than ever to being a close partner of the Olympic Movement, and we are extremely appreciative of the support that we receive from the IOC.”
