WORLD AQUATICS - THE NEW BRAND
The launch of the World Aquatics brand arrives after a series of major reforms that sees a modern organisation ready to lead and serve athletes united by water, with a broader scope and increased engagement with participants and audiences. The adoption of the World Aquatics name was confirmed by a vote of member federations at an Extraordinary Congress held on 12th December 2022 in Melbourne, Australia.
This is a new era of aquatic excellence. A World united by water for health, life and sport.
Our logo is more than just a symbol or a mark. It’s the visual representation of our mission, our brand and our desired impact in the world. Designed to display our worldwide presence and leadership role, the icon includes the building blocks of who we are: an abstract globe that emphasizes global reach; six circles representing our sports; and five lines for our five continents.
These multiple pieces come together, just as we unite large and small countries and teams, to make a unified whole. At the same time, our brand colours symbolize our aquatic nature with striking panache. Maintaining the integrity of our logo is key to introducing our new brand around the world and building interest and affinity for World Aquatics in our diverse audiences.
Every National Federation (209) has its own custom logomark with the country flag colours
Each of the 6 sports has its own icon and designated colour. The icon can be applied in places such as event signage and social media, while the colour can be used as part of the graphic treatment of each sport. All icons are also available as all black and all white.
