Artistic powerhouse Russia was the big winner last week in Budapest, as the 16th FINA World Junior Artistic Swimming Championships concluded on Sunday July 22, 2018 in Hungary's capital.

The five-day event was highlighted by impressive performances from Varvara Subbotina of Russia who pocketed both the Solo Technical and Solo Free events with 92.6551 and 93.5667 points respectively. Ukraine's Marta Fiedina and Japan's Mana Fujiwara secured the silver and bronze medals in both routines too.

Russian pair Elizaveta Minaeva / Kseniia Ladnaia shined in the Duet routines, accumulating 91.6280 points for their Technical performance and 93.1000 for the Free equivalent. Ukraine and Japan also completed the podium in the Duet events, with Vladyslava Aleksiiva / Maryna Aleksiiva and Liu Jin Tong / Liu Jin Han (points below).

Mixed pair Alina Mantulenko / Mikhail Vasilev clinched the Mixed events golds at stake with respectively 83.6404 points for the Technical and 85.1333 for the Free routine.

Teams from Russia, Ukraine and Japan were the best, in this order, in the Team events.
