Kunshan, China, May 29.— Day two action of the FINA Women’s Water Polo World League Super Final at the Kunshan Sports Centre on Tuesday.

Russia opened proceedings in Group B with a breath-taking 22-10 win over Japan as both teams were intent on breaking the others' defensive line at every opportunity. The match was broken open in the third, where Russia led 9-4.

Defending champion United States of America beat cross-border rival Canada 12-5 with two open quarters and two tied periods to take the group lead with two wins.

The following match was of a vastly different nature, in Group A, with Spain being held scoreless for much of the first half before taking the lead in the final quarter, only to relinquish it to Netherlands inside the final two minutes to go down 7-6. Netherlands heads the group with two wins.

The final match of the night was a tremendous success for China, downing Australia 8-6, dominating since being 2-1 down in the first quarter.
