On 13 March 2017, FINA conducted an out-of-competition doping control test on the swimmer, Henrique Rodrigues (BRA). The athlete was tested positive to the substance Clostebol (Class S.1.1A Exogenous Anabolic Androgenic Steroids).

The FINA Doping Panel decided to impose on the athlete a period of twelve (12) months’ ineligibility, starting on 13 March 2017 and ending at the conclusion of the 12 March 2018 for his first anti-doping rule violation.

Furthermore, the FINA Doping Panel decided that all results achieved by the athlete on or after 13 March 2017 shall be annulled together with the consequences thereof (forfeiture of medals/prizes, reimbursement of prize money).
