On 14 January 2019, the swimmer Sahil Pawar (IND) was tested in-competition during the Khelo India Youth Games 2019. The analysis performed on his sample indicated the presence of the metabolite of Methandienone (Class S.1.1.A Exogenous Anabolic Androgenis Steroids).

The Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel in India imposed a sanction of four (4) years’ ineligibility period on the athlete starting on 20 March 2019, the day of his provisional suspension.
