FINA and the Federación Colombiana de Natación hosted a FINA Diving Certification School from November 15-17 in Santa Marta, Magdalena (COL).

15 Colombian participants took the theoretical and practical courses, while judges from Chile, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela also attended the School.

Pathways and guideline to becoming an elite FINA judge, as well as the Diving Golden Rules and Judging principles were reviewed.

These regularly organised Schools all over the world are a crucial step in the FINA judges and referees career to get a recognised certification that enable them to work at FINA events and other major competitions, applying recognised standards.

An additional 14 Schools in Open Water, Swimming, Water Polo and Artistic Swimming have been organised in September and October 2017, in Dakar (SEN), Harare (ZIM), Port Harcourt (NGR), Francistown (BOT), Montevideo (URU), Santiago (CHL), George Town (CAY), Pasig City, Manila (PHI), Bhopal (IND), Bangkok (THA), Baucau (TLS), Ha Dhihdhoo (MDV) and Kwajalein (MHL).
