The four-leg FINA Artistic Swimming World Series 2022 season will start with a virtual event jointly hosted by the USA and Canada on 19-20 March. The series will then head to Paris (FRA) on 1-3 April as the French capital city and 2024 Olympic Games host holds its customary spot on the Artistic Swimming World Series.

The circuit will then move to Australia for a virtual event on 7-8 May before the Super Final two weeks later in Athens.

With artistic swimming competitions at the 19th FINA World Championships Budapest 2022 kicking off on 17 June 2022, the World Series calendar will provide ideal athlete preparation for top performances in the Hungarian capital city.

The overall World Series prize purse is USD 257,000. Artistic swimmers will compete for another USD 310,000 in prize money at the Super Finals.

FINA World Championship 2019 competitor and Tokyo 2020 Greece Olympic selection Krystalienia Gialama expressed her excitement on hearing Athens selection as the 2022 Super Final host.

“Athens, once again, will be hosting a major FINA international artistic swimming competition. I am really excited that one of the best indoor swimming pools in the world, the Athens Olympic Swimming Complex, will be the venue of FINA Super Final Artistic Swimming World Series 2022,” Gialama said. “We are looking forward to welcoming the world’s best artistic athletes just a few weeks prior to the FINA World Championships in Budapest. I am more than sure that all athletes can focus all their energy on delivering outstanding performances. Save the date May 20th to 22nd. All the best will be in Athens.”
