About 200 athletes will gather at Duna Arena from October 7-9 for more outstanding performances.

The USA’s delegation, the largest in Budapest, will be represented by 45 swimmers, including Olympic champions Blake Pieroni, Lydia Jacoby and Tom Shields and Tess Howley who claimed a gold at the SWC first leg in Berlin in the 200m fly.

South Africa’s Matthew Sates who broke two World Junior records (in the 200m free and 200m IM) last weekend will also be present.

Vladimir Morozov of Russia will be looking at winning back his 50 and 100m free titles, facing Australia’s 6-time Olympic medallist Kyle Chalmers who clinched gold in both races in Berlin.

Holly Barratt, Emma McKeon, Madison Wilson, Leah Neal ad Minna Atherton are the women to represent Australia in Budapest. Tokyo 2020 hero McKeon took the 50m and 100m free wins with ease in Berlin, while Wilson was the best in the 200m free despite her recent hospitalisation due to COVID-19. Barratt, World Championships silver medallist, completed an impressive win in the 50m fly in Berlin.

Other Berlin winners are set to take the plunge in Budapest: Arno Kamminga and Kira Toussaint from the Netherlands, surprise winners Maria Ugolkova (SUI) and Germany’s Isabel Gose.

Olympic and World champions Florian Wellbrock (GER) and Kristof Milak (HUN), Short-course gold medallist Danas Rapsys (LTU), as well as European champion Zsuzsanna Jakabos (HUN) also highlight the Budapest entries.
