In preparation of the Women Water Polo World League Super Final, Team USA stopped in Manresa, Spain, for an exhibition game face to a selection of Catalonian all stars to tribute the greatest water polo player of all time: Manuel Estiarte
USA travelled to Spain last week before to join Athens, host of the Water Polo World League Super Final 2021.
The occasion was a friendly game with a Catalonia ‘all-star’ team (final score: 13-12) – played in Manresa in the pool with the name of Manuel Estiarte, the greatest water polo player of all time.
The event was made even more significant by the attendance of Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, who is a long-time friend of Estiarte. Estiarte was an assistant coach with Guardiola in Germany and England.
