The FINA Women’s Water Polo World League Intercontinental Cup is an elite tournament which gathers the best non-European water polo female teams. It is a six-day tournament for the non-European teams looking at earning a berth to the FINA Water Polo World League Super Final. The Super Final gathers the four best teams of the Intercontinental Cup and the three (+1 host nation) best teams of the European qualification phase which is normally played from November of the previous year until April of the following year over six Game Days.


Since 2004, the annual World League has been organised 17 times and a total prize money of US$345’000 is available for the competition.
