The World Men's Youth Water Polo Championships will be hosted in Belgrade, Serbia, starting three days after the end of the Women's tournament. In the last edition hosted in 2018 (Szombathely, Hungary) team Greece made it to become Youth World Champion for the first time after beating Spain in an exciting final.
For the 2022 edition, 18 teams will face in the tournament:
- Group A: HUNGARY, UZBEKISTAN, KAZAKHSTAN, CROATIA, KUWAIT
- Group B: GREECE, NETHERLANDS, BRAZIL, AUSTRALIA, TURKEY
- Group C: SERBIA, NEW ZEALAND, USA, ITALY
- Group D: SPAIN, SOUTH AFRICA, CANADA, MONTENEGRO
