When and where did you begin this sport?
She began diving in 1995 in Berlin, Germany.
Why this sport?
When she was young she wanted to become a professional gymnast, but coaches who watched her perform suggested she should switch to diving. She has always been fascinated by the way someone can do so many rotations in such a limited time.

Injuries
She required surgery on a back injury in late 2013 after one of her inter vertebral discs became dislodged. Although she returned to competition in July 2014, the injury meant she had to stop diving from the 10m platform for the rest of her career due to the risk of injuring her back again.
