She got involved in artistic swimming in 2002 in Moscow, Russian Federation.
Why this sport?
"My parents did not want to enrol me in professional sports. Therefore, mum decided that the safest and most multifunctional sport for girls was synchronised swimming. It involves stretching, acrobatics, choreography, dancing and general physical training."
