The second game of the day was a Group A game, again between two unbeaten teams: Saudi Arabia and Uruguay. The more disciplined Saudi Arabians controlled the game winning each period by one goal. They prevailed over the Uruguayans by an 11-7 final score and moved into first place in the Group.

Tuesday’s second session started with another Asia versus America contest: Singapore facing off against Peru. After a frustrating start for both teams who were having trouble retaining possession long enough to score goals, the better conditioned team from Singapore took control in the second half winning by a score of 15-6 dropping the loser, Peru into a last place tie in Group A. Eight different players shared the scoring for Singapore.

The middle game of the session was a North African battle played between Tunisia and Egypt, with a good contingent of Tunisian fans out-cheering those from Egypt. However, in the water the Egyptian team was too strong for the Tunisians, who lost by a score of 19-7. It was a hard fought game which was by far the most intense and physical of the tournament.

The last game of the day saw the host team from Kuwait hit the water for the first time in the tournament. Playing before a home town audience, they met the team from Guatemala for the first time since 2009. History repeated itself as the Kuwaitis were dominant winners, 24-3, over the Guatemalans who have never won against the team from Kuwait.

Day 3 will see the top 2 teams from Group A, Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, meet in an important match which will likely determine the first place position in the group.
