The Windsor Spitfires, a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), visited the WFCU Centre today on the occasion of the inauguration of the temporary swimming pool to be used for the FINA World Swimming Championships (25m).

The team who is yearly based at the WFCU Centre, in the Ontario State, toured the transformed venue today and had an opportunity to be among the first people to step on the pool deck today.

The team reiterated their support to the Swimming Championships, that will benefit from a great interest in the region, and symbolically gave the keys to their house to the world’s best swimmers.

The six-day competition takes place from December 6-11.
