The third and final day of the inaugural leg of the FINA Synchronised Swimming World Series, organised in Paris (FRA) started with the victory of Ukraine’s Anna Voloshyna in the solo free, in front of Japan’s Yukiko Inui and Canada’s Jacqueline Simoneau. The Ukrainian swimmer was already the best in the solo technical event. 

Japan took its revenge in the second final of the day, the team free, where they earned gold in front of Ukraine (silver) and China (bronze). The Japanese competitors were also the winners of the free combination event on Day 2 of the competition. 

In the duet free decisive final, China was again the strongest pair, after shining also in the duet technical. Japan and Ukraine completed the podium, confirming their good shape in the French Open. In the duet free mixed, the Italian Giorgio Minisini and Manila Flamini were once again the best. 

The “Make Up For Ever” meet was highly enjoyed by the participating swimmers and attracted many hundreds of spectators in the pool. The best athletes in the world will now proceed for the second leg of the circuit, to be held in Taiyuan (CHN), from April 22-24, 2017.
