The third leg of the FINA / CNSG Marathon Swim World Series 2019 in Setubal, Portugal, was won by Yohsuke Miyamoto from Japan and Brazil's Ana Marcela Cunha respectively.

Miyamoto clinched his first victory in the Series today, touching home in 1h34m44s4 and narrowly defeated veteran Andreas Waschburger of Germany (1h34m45s3). Argentina's Alejandro Moreno completed the podium today (1h34m48s0) in front of teammate Guillermo Bertola (1h34m51s6).

Ranking leader Cunha confirmed her dominance again and won in 1h41m12s9, in front of Italy's Rachele Bruni (1h42m12s10) after a review via photo finish. Ecuador's Samantha Arevalo secured the silver medal at stake in 1h41m18s8.

The Series resumes on June15 in Balatonfured (HUN) for the fourth-out-of-nine leg, before heading to Canada for two meets on July 21 and August 3.
