After a Russian festival in Day 1, it was time for Ukraine and Italy to shine in the second day of the inaugural leg of the 2018 edition of the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series, taking place in Paris (FRA). In the first final of the session, Giorgio Minisini (the FINA Best Male Artistic Swimmer of 2017) paired with Manila Flamini to take gold in the Mixed Duet Technical event, in 88.5930. They were followed by Japan – Atsushi Abe and Yumi Adachi earned silver in 86.3358 -, and by Spain (Pau Ribes/Berta Ferreras), bronze medallist in 82.1743.

Then, it was the turn of Ukrainian swimmers to shine in the French capital. In the Team Free final, the winners got 91.6667, while France managed its first podium presence of the competition, getting the silver in 86.0333. The bronze went to Belarus, with an accumulated total of 83.4000.

In the Free Combination final, the Ukrainian squad was again at the top of the hierarchy, getting gold in 92.1000. In a thrilling final, Spain (the Iberian team included superstar Ona Carbonell) was the runner-up in 90.6333, while China finished third in 86.0667. 

The competition concludes this Sunday, with the contest of the last four finals on the programme: Solo Free, Highlight Routine, Duet Mixed Free and Duet Free.
