FINA learnt with great sadness about the passing of Mr Ivan Varvodic, member of the FINA Technical Swimming Committee. Mr Varvodic was a key Aquatics administrator in Croatia, having been successively Director and then President of the Croatian Swimming Federation, from 1992 to 2007.
Also a past LEN Bureau Member, Mr Varvodic played an important role in the development of Sport in his country, and has been appointed a FINA Technical Swimming Committee member in 2017.
In this moment of grief, the FINA family addresses its heartfelt condolences to Mr Varvodic’s family and friends, as well as to the entire Swimming community in Croatia.
