Erick Gordillo, from Guatemala, is the most recent swimmer selected by FINA to integrate the International Federation’s Scholarship Programme, aimed at supporting talented athletes from around the globe.

Gordillo, who competes in the 200m and 400m individual medley, will be training in the next 12 months in Ohio (USA), in the Spire Institute Academy.

At 19, Gordillo is already selected for the 2019 Pan-American Games but will actively train with the aim of qualifying for his first Olympic Games, in Tokyo 2020.
