Barcelona will host the eighth stage of the 2019 FINA Artistic Swimming World Series from May 31 to June 2. The best athletes in the world will compete at the Sant Jordi pool throughout the weekend. It will be the last test before the Super Final in Budapest (14-16 June).

The 2019 FINA Artistic Swimming World Series arrive in Barcelona three months after the opening of the season, in Paris (FRA).

Alexandroupolis (GRE), Kazan (RUS), Tokyo (JPN), Beijing (CHN), Greensboro (USA) and Quebec City (CAN) were the cities that hosted the following tests of a circuit that will end within two weeks in Budapest.

In the Hungary's capital, the swimmers will complete their preparation for the World Championships, which will be held in Gwangju (KOR) in July.

In Barcelona the swimmers will show some of the routines that will lead to Korea.

The competition will be composed of Technical routines (Solo, Mixed Duet, Duet and Team) and Free routines (Solo, Mixed Duet, Duet, Team, Combination and Highlight).

The program is divided into three days of competition, from Friday to Sunday. 313 athletes will go on stage. In addition to the World Series, Barcelona also hosts the National Championships.

 

Friday's program will be opened by Technical Solo, Technical Duo and Technical Team.

On Saturday, it will be the turn for the Free Solo, Highlights, Technical Mixed Duo and Combination.

Already on Sunday, the free routines of duo, mixed duo and team will put the brooch to the eighth leg of the 2019 FINA Artistic Swimming World Series.

Every club or national team is allowed to enter 2 solos, 2 duets, 2 mixed duets, 1 team, 1 combination and 1 highlight routine. Every swimmer is allowed to compete in 1 solo, 1 duet/mixed duet, 1 team, 1 combination and 1 highlight.

The following countries will be represented in Barcelona: Aruba, Austria, Belarus, Chile, Czech Republic, Egypt, Spain, France, Great Britain, Guatemala, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine and USA.
