On July 25, 2016, the swimmer Subrata Nandi (IND) was tested positive to the prohibited substance 19-norandrosterone, metabolite of Nandrolone or its precursors (Class S.1.1.A Exogenous Anabolic Androgenic Steroids) following an in-competition doping control test conducted on the occasion of the 65th All India Police Aquatics Championships 2016.
The Indian Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel imposed a sanction of four (4) years’ ineligibility on the athlete starting on August 17, 2016, the day of his provisional suspension.
