On December 9, 2016, the water polo player Arian Pajam (IRI) was tested positive to the prohibited substance Metenolone (Class S.1.1.A Exogenous Anabolic Androgenic Steroids) following a doping control test conducted on the occasion of the National Water Polo Competitions.
The Iran National Anti-doping Agency imposed a sanction of four (4) years’ ineligibility period on the athlete in accordance with article 10.2.1. The ineligibility period started on January 29, 2016, the day of his provisional suspension.
