The main competition pool at the Dagály Aquatics Arena in Budapest that will host the 17th World Championships and the FINA World Masters Championships 2017 next July has now been filled with water.

The Dagály Aquatics Arena will welcome the world’s swimming elite from July 23-30, while other Aquatic disciplines such as diving, synchronised swimming and open water swimming will take place during the first week of the Championships. Both the men and women’s water polo tournaments will spread over the two weeks.

The venue construction is almost completed and will have a capacity of 20,000 seats. Early ticket sales for the 17th FINA World Championships 2017 have exceeded expectations, with nearly 34,000 tickets having been sold since December 1. Another batch of tickets will be released in the upcoming months, all at affordable price points.

21,000 tickets have so far been sold for the swimming competition, while 7500 water polo event tickets have been purchased. The water polo tournaments are set to take place at the Alfréd Hajós Swimming Complex.
