Six very successful Aquatic athletes will be speaking at the FINA World Aquatics Convention today, Monday December 5 at a session entitled “Insight from Aquatics Champions: the future of Aquatics from the eyes of the athletes”.

Athletes have a strategic role in the development of the aquatic sport. They understand it at all levels, from grassroots to elite level and are untapped resources to help us develop our sport.

  • USA’s Janet Evans, retired four-time Olympic gold medallist in swimming
  • Canada’s Aaron Feltham, Olympian in water polo
  • Great Britain’s Gary Hunt, World champion in high diving
  • USA’s Bill May, World champion in synchronised swimming

These athletes’ panel will take place as part of the Aquatics Conference Programme and will follow a presentation on the “Digital Challenge” in which the new FINA mobile app will be demonstrated.
