The FINA World Junior Diving Championships are held every two years, bringing together young prospects from the strongest nations in the sport to compete at world level.

The six-day competition is divided into two age groups (A and B). Group A is for divers from 16 to 18 and Group B for divers from 14 to 15 years old. There are 14 events on the programme: 1m springboard, 3m springboard and 10m platform for A and B as well as a 3m springboard synchro event mixing A and B.

First held in 1977, the event welcomes about 200 divers from 30 countries at each edition. The 20th FINA World Junior Diving Championships were organised in Penza (RUS) in 2014.
