FINA Men's Water Polo Development Trophy 2017

The FINA Men’s Water Polo Development Trophy is a precious tool for the progress of this discipline worldwide. The Trophy is a 12-team tournament with the national squads that are still making their way to the top-elite of water polo.

FINA’s strategy for all its Aquatic disciplines is focused on the universality and equity of opportunities for all National Member Federations. This competition is part of that effort to ensure these 12 squads a fair occasion to compete in a tournament with teams of similar level.

FINA World Men’s Water Polo Development Trophy last edition was held in Tehran (IRI) in 2015. Kuwait City (KUW) in 2007, 2009 and 2013 and Dammam (KSA) in 2011 previously hosted the event.

FINA Water Polo World League Super Final Men 2017

The FINA Water Polo World League is the world’s first global league bringing together the best national water polo teams from around the world, concluding in the prestigious FINA Water Polo World League Super Final.

Established in 2002 (for men) and 2004 (for women), the competition formula comprises preliminary tournaments in the five continents and the Super Final for both the men’s and women’s league, where the best eight teams of the preliminaries fight for the World League title and for the best share of the competition’s prize money.

The FINA Water Polo World League is the world’s first global league bringing together the best national water polo teams from around the world, concluding in the prestigious FINA Water Polo World League Super Final.

Established in 2002 (for men) and 2004 (for women), the competition formula comprises preliminary tournaments in the five continents and the Super Final for both the men’s and women’s league, where the best eight teams of the preliminaries fight for the World League title and for the best share of the competition’s prize money.

The FINA Water Polo World Cup, organised every four years, brings the best teams to compete in a top-notch six-day event, which decisively contributes to the exposure and promotion of water polo worldwide.

It was established in 1979, initially taking place on odd years. Since 2002 it is held every four years, in the even-year between Olympics. The competition is played by eight teams, both for the men’s and the women’s tournament.

The FINA Water Polo World Cup, organised every four years, brings the best teams to compete in a top-notch six-day event, which decisively contributes to the exposure and promotion of water polo worldwide.

It was established in 1979, initially taking place on odd years. Since 2002 it is held every four years, in the even-year between Olympics. The competition is played by eight teams, both for the men’s and the women’s tournament.

FINA Youth Water Polo Championships Men (18&U) 2018

The FINA Youth Water Polo Championships

FINA organises a men's and women's World Championships for young water polo players every year. From 2011 on, a new age group competition format has been launched with World Junior Championships for “Under 20’s” taking place in odd years and World Youth Championships “Under 18’s” in even years.

In 2012, the first-ever FINA World Youth Water Polo Championships (U18) for both men and women was held in Perth (AUS). The event gathers 16 to 20 teams, about 200 players, from the strongest and rising nations in the sport.

The second edition of the FINA World Men's Youth Water Polo Championships (U18) was held in Istanbul (TUR) in 2014. The women's Championships took place in Madrid (ESP) in 2014.

FINA Synchronised Swimming World Trophy 2017

The FINA Synchronised Swimming World Trophy is a yearly competition aimed at showcasing the best Synchronised Swimmers in the World.

The objective is to promote the beauty of Synchronised Swimming in a competition where the performers have the opportunity to show their skills and creative side in a unique celebratory environment.

Created in 2006, the three-day event gathers eight to twelve teams from the strongest nations in the sport. The innovative competition formula features a Highlight routine, a Thematic Duet, a Thematic Team and a Free Combination, where marks are given for artistic impression only. In this competition, marks are given not only by the judges, but also by invited guests and celebrities.

Moscow (RUS) in 2006 and 2010, Rio de Janeiro (BRA) in 2007, Madrid (ESP) in 2008, Montreal (CAN) in 2009, Beijing (CHN) in 2011 and 2014, Mexico City (MEX) in 2012 and 2013, Shaoxing (CHN) in 2015 have successfully hosted the event.

FINA World Junior Open Water Swimming Championships 2018

The FINA World Junior Open Water Swimming Championships gives our young open water swimmers an opportunity to compete at the highest level.

The three-day competition draws boys and girls between 14 and under the age of 19.

The first edition was organised in Welland (CAN) in August 2012. The second edition was organised in Balatonfured (HUN) in 2014.

FINA Synchronised Swimming World Cup 2018

The FINA Synchronised Swimming World Cup is a top-level international synchronised swimming competition and currently held every four years.

The event features competition in four synchro events (Duet, Team, Free Combination and Highlight
Routine). The winner of the event is determined by adding a nation points from the four events.

The very first edition of the event was held in Tokyo (JPN) in 1979, and the last edition was held in Quebec (CAN) in 2014.

FINA World Junior Diving Championships 2018

The FINA World Junior Diving Championships are held every two years, bringing together young prospects from the strongest nations in the sport to compete at world level.

The six-day competition is divided into two age groups (A and B). Group A is for divers from 16 to 18 and Group B for divers from 14 to 15 years old. There are 14 events on the programme: 1m springboard, 3m springboard and 10m platform for A and B as well as a 3m springboard synchro event mixing A and B.

First held in 1977, the event welcomes about 200 divers from 30 countries at each edition. The 20th FINA World Junior Diving Championships were organised in Penza (RUS) in 2014.

FINA High Diving World Cup 2017

The FINA High Diving World Cup welcomes the world's best high divers in action every year in a three-day event.

Since the remarkable introduction of High Diving in the FINA World Championships programme and crowning moment of the first-ever World champions in Barcelona (ESP) in 2013, the sport has continued to grow in popularity and attractiveness. Two events are on the programme: a men's competition in five rounds competing from 27m and a women's competition in three rounds diving from 20m.

Following the successful organisation of the inaugural edition in 2014 in Kazan (RUS), followed by Cozumel (MEX) in 2015, Abu Dhabi (UAE) hosted the third edition in 2016.

FINA Diving World Cup 2018

The FINA Diving World Cup is a prestigious bi-annual circuit which gathers during six days the women's and men's world’s diving elite to perform in eight events: 3m springboard, 10m platform, 3m springboard synchro, 10m platform synchro.

The 20th FINA Diving World Cup in Rio (BRA), from February 19-24, 2016 was part of the Test Events Programme for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The event not only provided athletes with a chance to compete at the Olympic venue, it also offered an additional opportunity to qualify for the Games.

FINA High Diving World Cup 2018

The FINA High Diving World Cup welcomes the world's best high divers in action every year in a three-day event.

Since the remarkable introduction of High Diving in the FINA World Championships programme and crowning moment of the first-ever World champions in Barcelona (ESP) in 2013, the sport has continued to grow in popularity and attractiveness.
