London 2012 - Water Polo - Draw

The FINA Official Draw for the Men's & Women's Olympic Games Water Polo Tournaments 2012 to take place in London (GBR) was held on Saturday May 5, 2012 at 17:15 hours at the Olympic Family Lounge at the Aquatics Center, London (GBR) following the conclusion of the afternoon matches of the Water Polo Test Event in the Water Polo Arena. The draw was conducted by FINA Executives and TWPC Representatives.

At the draw were present Dr. Julio C. Maglione (FINA President), Mr. Paolo Barelli (FINA Honorary Secretary), Mr. Pipat Paniangvait (FINA Honorary Treasurer), Mr. Cornel Marculescu (FINA Executive Director), Mr. Richard Foster (TWPC Vice Chairman) and Mr. John Whitehouse (TWPC Honorary Secretary), as well as Mr. Paul Deighton (LOCOG Chief Executive) and Ms. Debbie Jevans (LOCOG Director of Sport). It was conducted according to FINA BL 9.4.1.1 & 9.4.2.2 by Mr. Dimitris Diathesopoulos (FINA Bureau Liaison) and Mr. Gianni Lonzi (TWPC Chairman).

The four highest ranked teams in each group will qualify for the Quarter Final Round. The fifth and sixth ranked teams in each group will be eliminated and will not play anymore.

London 2012 - Synchro - Synchronised Swimming Olympic Games Qualification Tournament (also Test Event)

The Synchronised Swimming Olympic Games Qualification Tournament, acting also as a Test Event, will take place in the Aquatics Centre of the Olympic Park on the 18-22 April 2012.

London 2012 - Swimming Test Event

The British Championships (and Olympic Trials), taking place in the Olympic Venue on the 3-10 March 2012, will act as Test Event for the Olympic Swimming competition.

These championships are British Swimming's major selection meet for the London 2012 Olympics.  However, international swimmers are permitted to swim in the heats, and will have the opportunity to compete in separate finals (there will be no semi-finals for international swimmers).

London 2012 - Diving Test Event

The 18th FINA Diving World Cup will take place in the Aquatics Centre of the Olympic Park on the 20-26 February 2012, and will act as a Test Event for the Olympic Diving competition. Please find all information here.

There will be four events for men and women: 3m Springboard, 10m Platform, Synchronized 3m Springboard and Synchronized 10m Platform.

Each FINA Member Federation can enter two competitors for each individual event and one team for each synchronized event.
