Doha 2014 - FINA Extraordinary Congress
In accordance with FINA Rule C 15.9, the FINA Bureau has determined that an Extraordinary Meeting of the Congress shall be held on 29th November 2014 in Doha (QAT) with the occasion of the 12th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) and 3rd FINA World Aquatics Convention 2014.
The FINA Extraordinary Congress will take place in the Ritz Hotel, Doha, Qatar, starting at 09:30 hours, with the registration beginning at 08:00 hours.
No subject shall be discussed at this special meeting other than the matters included in the AGENDA below:
1. Declaration of quorum (Quorum shall be 20 Member Federations)
2. Welcome to Delegates by FINA President
3. Introduction of the Head Table
4. FINA Rules
• Part 1 - Constitution
• Part 2 - Code of Ethics
• Part 3 - General Rules
• Part 4 - Swimming
• Part 5 - Open Water Swimming
• Part 6 - Diving
• Part 7 - High Diving
• Part 8 - Synchronised Swimming
• Part 9 - Water Polo
• Part 10 - Masters
• Part 11 - Doping Control (in accordance with the new WADA Code 2015)
• Part 12 - Facilities Rules
Please note that all the documents related to the above Congress’ Agenda will be forwarded to the National Federations no later than 30th September 2014.
All Members of FINA are hereby invited to attend this FINA Extraordinary Congress.
According to the FINA Rule C 15.2.1, each FINA Member Federation may appoint up to two (2) Delegates. Please fill out the application form and return it to the FINA Office no later than 10th November 2014 with the names of the Delegates nominated by your Federation.
Except for one (1) National Federation’s representative for whom FINA will provide travel and accommodation assistance, all the expenses for the 2nd delegate, such as travel, accommodation, meals, and others are to be covered by the respective NF.
Simultaneous translation will be provided in English, French and Spanish.
