PR 93 - World Trophy: World-class synchro teams vie for top honours in Mexico

Lausanne (SUI), November 29, 2013 – Up-and-coming synchronised swimming stars from China, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Ukraine and USA are set to compete in the eighth edition of the FINA Synchronised Swimming World Trophy, organised from November 29 to December 1, 2013 in Mexico City (MEX).

The competition programme includes a Synchro Highlight Routine, Thematic Duet, Solo Exhibition, Free Team Routine and Free Combination. To encourage innovation and creativity, scores are given for artistic impression only and rules allow the use of accessories. The Solo Exhibition will not be judged.

All events of the FINA Synchronised Swimming World Trophy 2013 will be available on FINAtv.

Spain holds three World Trophy titles (2008, 2010 and 2011), Russia triumphed in the first two editions (2006, 2007), Canada won at home in 2009 and China finished on top last year.
