Water Polo Officials 2015 - Application

Each National Federation is entitled to nominate up to three (3) referees to the FINA Water Polo Referees List. In addition Member Federations who have participated in FINA Competitions are entitled to nominate additional referees in accordance with a formula based upon participation in FINA Competitions in the preceding two-year period up to a maximum of seven (7).
Referees must be on the FINA Water Polo Referees List in order to be selected to officiate at the Olympic Games and Qualification Tournaments, World Championships (Senior and Junior), Water Polo World Cups, FINA Water Polo World Leagues and other designated FINA Competitions.
BL 6: For Water Polo, the age limit shall be fifty five (55) years during the year of competition. Therefore referees must be born 1960 or later.
Please note all referees nominated to the FINA Water Polo Referees List must have attended and successfully completed an edition of the FINA Water Polo School for Referees during the previous two (2) years.
In order to be on the 2015 List all the nominations for the FINA Water Polo Referees List must be submitted as soon as possible, but NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 24, 2014.
Please note that the FINA Water Polo Referees List 2015 will be effective for the competitions to be held in the year 2015.
All FINA Member Federations are entitled to nominate three (3) referees to the FINA Water Polo Referees List 2015 (subject to the provision mentioned above) except for countries detailed below, which are entitled to nominate additional referees (also subject to the provision mentioned above), namely:
- Countries entitled to nominate four (4) Referees are:
ARG, COL, GUA, IRI, KSA, KUW, TUN, URU, VEN
- Countries entitled to nominate five (5) Referees are:
EGY, GBR, PER, PUR, SIN, SVK, TUR
- Countries entitled to nominate six (6) Referees are:
- Countries entitled to nominate seven (7) Referees are:
AUS, BRA, CAN, CHN, CRO, ESP, GER, GRE, HUN, ITA, JPN, KAZ, MNE, NZL, RSA, RUS, SRB, USA, UZB
A legible and valid copy or scan of the passport of the referee must accompany the nomination. The referee must be of the same nationality as the FINA Member Federation he is representing.
