EACH EVENT

The HMF/OC shall provide and pay prize money to a total of USD 102’000 at each Event to be divided between all of the 34 individual events, as follows:

1st place:  USD 1’500
2nd place:  USD 1’000
3rd place:  USD 500
Sub-Total:  USD 3’000
Total x 34 events: USD 102’000


In case of a tie, the prize money will be shared (e.g. if there is tie for 1st place, then no 2nd place prize money will be awarded. The total of USD 2’500 will be divided equally between the 2 winners – i.e. USD 1’250 each).

The method of the distribution of the prize money shall be announced to the swimmers at each Event during the briefing or the Managers/Representatives Meeting.

The total amount of the prize money has to be paid to the swimmers without any deductions.

The National Federation of all swimmers winning prize money will inform the HMF as to whether the prize money will be paid to the National Federation or directly to the athlete.


CLUSTER PRIZE MONEY (overall of USD 812'000)

This additional prize money will be equally shared between the first 6 ranked men and first 6 ranked women at each cluster.

Cluster 1 (Eindhoven, August 7-8; Berlin, August 10-11): USD 200’000.
Cluster 2 (Moscow, October 12-13; Dubai, October 17-18; Doha, October 20-21): USD 306’000
Cluster 3 (Singapore, November 5-6; Tokyo, November 9-10; Beijing, November 13-14): USD 306’000

ADDITIONAL AWARDS/PRIZES

The HMF/OC may offer additional awards and prizes as it sees fit. Any such awards and prizes should be clearly identified at the Managers/ Representatives Meeting at the latest.


OVERALL PRIZE MONEY

The HMF/OC shall pay USD 50’000 to FINA for the SWC 2013 to be put towards the overall prize money and the World Record bonus payments. FINA will also contribute a sum of USD 50’000 to these funds. The overall annual winners will be decided by the Men and Women swimmers who have accumulated the most points at Events in that year.

The overall annual prize money to be awarded shall be USD 360’000 to be divided between both the Men’s and Women’s overall winners as follows:
