The Seychelles Swimming Association invites experienced and interested coaches to submit their applications for the

POSITION OF HEAD COACH

The Coach should be able to lead a group of local coaches and assess the swimming program in general to make recommendations and develop swimming to a competitive level both regionally and internationally.

The Coach should also be a person who can effectively understand the local training environment and adapt programmes according to available resources to progressively achieved better results.

The position details are as per below:

Qualification/Experience

Must possess a Degree in swimming sports or similar certification with a proven international track record.

Task

- Identify training needs and conduct suitable training programme for national swimmers.
- Guide / Assist local coaches with their training programmes
- Share knowledge among swimmers on long-term goals and preparation.
- Work with coaches, share knowledge and provide on-the-job training on training approaches.
- Conduct training camps in preparation for regional and international competitions.
- Act in a consultative capacity to the Seychelles Swimming Association

Skills & Experience:

- Specialized knowledge in competitive swimming
- Proven successful swimming coach
- international experience
- Good reputation at national and international level
- Management and supervisor skills
- Team Building skills
- Leadership qualities and skills
- Language skills: English and French
- Writing skills
- Computer skills (ms office)
- Sound knowledge of the international swimming sports system

Duration

The Contract is for two years renewable effective 15th March 2013.

Offer

A commensurate remuneration package will be negotiated in addition to economy airfare, and Accommodation.
