PR 55 - Volos (GRE) welcomes world’s synchro hopefuls
Lausanne (SUI), September 11, 2012 – The world will be introduced to the next generation of synchronised swimming talents at the 13th edition of the FINA World Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships, organised in the Mediterranean city of Volos (GRE) from September 12-16, 2012.
Junior national teams (aged 15 to 18 years old) from all around the world will gather to compete in the following events: Solo, Duet, Team and Free Combination (preliminaries and finals) and a figure competition.
33 nations will be represented in Volos: Argentina, Austria, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, USA and Venezuela.
In the last edition (Indianapolis, USA in 2010), Russia blitzed to win all titles at stake. The teams of Canada, China and Ukraine also climbed the podium.
