Olympic Solidarity's training continues in Guayaquil (ECU)
After a successful stop in Asia, the FINA/IOC Olympic Solidarity Development Programme heads back to the Americas for an advanced-level Technical Course for Swimming Coaches in Guayaquil, Ecuador from August 8-12, 2011.
In all, 30 participants (among which one woman) attended the five-day course led by Cuban expert Ibrahim Rogelio Zaldivar Ochoa, who is affiliated to the Federación Colombiana de Natación as a Technical director for the Liga de Natación de Boyacá and Coach for Selección Colombia.
The Ecuadorian coaches enthusiastically approached the following topics during the course: detection and selection of possible talents; the formation of values; technical conditioning in the water for kids and teenagers; altitude training; dry-land physical preparation, etc.
