A clinic for Swimming Officials (Beginner/Intermediate level) was held at the Windhoek Lions Club/National Swimming Academy, Namibia, from June 22-26, 2011. In all, 12 participants took part, with some having already participated in a clinic for Swimming Officials in 2010. The course therefore served as a refresher for some.

British expert Neil Booth, who has a long experience as a Referee at all competition levels, was onsite to deliver the course. The topics included Roles & Responsibilities of Officials, Strokes and Racing, etc. A Gala was also organised for the participants to practice various poolside roles. With such variety among participants, the level of participation, enthusiasm and commitment turned out to be excellent, notel Booth.
