London 2012 - Water Polo - Draw
The FINA Official Draw for the Men's & Women's Olympic Games Water Polo Tournaments 2012 to take place in London (GBR) was held on Saturday May 5, 2012 at 17:15 hours at the Olympic Family Lounge at the Aquatics Center, London (GBR) following the conclusion of the afternoon matches of the Water Polo Test Event in the Water Polo Arena. The draw was conducted by FINA Executives and TWPC Representatives.
At the draw were present Dr. Julio C. Maglione (FINA President), Mr. Paolo Barelli (FINA Honorary Secretary), Mr. Pipat Paniangvait (FINA Honorary Treasurer), Mr. Cornel Marculescu (FINA Executive Director), Mr. Richard Foster (TWPC Vice Chairman) and Mr. John Whitehouse (TWPC Honorary Secretary), as well as Mr. Paul Deighton (LOCOG Chief Executive) and Ms. Debbie Jevans (LOCOG Director of Sport). It was conducted according to FINA BL 9.4.1.1 & 9.4.2.2 by Mr. Dimitris Diathesopoulos (FINA Bureau Liaison) and Mr. Gianni Lonzi (TWPC Chairman).

The four highest ranked teams in each group will qualify for the Quarter Final Round. The fifth and sixth ranked teams in each group will be eliminated and will not play anymore.
