The Asian legs of Shantou (CHN) and Hong Kong (HKG) of the FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup each welcomed about 60 competitors on September 25 and October 3, 2010, respectively.
Some big names in the world of open water prevailed in the fifth and sixth races of the event. Finishing third was Olympian Brian Ryckeman from Belgium, in a time of 1h55m33s.
In Hong Kong, the ever-impressive Chad Ho (RSA) emerged from a fiercely competitive field to win the race in a convincing fashion (2h03m54s).
