PR19 - China continues its domination at third of six Grand Prix stops

Stage three of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2009 took place from March 5-March 8 in Moscow (RUS). At this meeting, like the two before it, the dominant nation in action was China, whose divers collected 10 medals (6 golds, 3 silvers, 1 bronze). The host country picked up a respectable seven medals (2 golds and 5 silvers), while the teams from Mexico and Ukraine garnered two medals each – double bronze in both cases. Divers from Canada, Germany and Spain (one bronze each) also climbed the podium. Here are the medallists:

Men’s 3m springboard synchronised: 1. Minghong Wu/Shixin Li (CHN) 421.77, 2. Alexander Dobroskok/Evgeny Kuznetsov (RUS) 409.44, 3. Luis Huerta/Carlos Moreno (MEX) 371.85.

Women's 3m springboard synchronised: 1. Lin Qu/Jun Dong (CHN) 327.30, 2. Nadezhda Bazhina/Maria Smirnova (RUS) 289.62, 3. Vianey Hernandez/Celia Santillan (MEX) 253.86.

Day 3 (March 7, 2009)
Women's 10m platform: 1. Ni Chen (CHN) 340.35, 2. Yulia Koltunova (RUS) 301.30, 3. Lindan Deng (CHN) 297.40.
Men’s 3m springboard: 1. Alexander Dobroskok (RUS) 499.45, 2. Shixin Li (CHN) 475.10, 3. Javier Garcia Illana (ESP) 458.55.
Women's 10m platform synchronised: 1. Ni Chen/Lindan Deng (CHN) 324.06, 2. Natalia Goncharova/Yulia Koltunova (RUS) 305.22, 3. Yulia Prokopchuk/Alina Chaplenko (UKR) 277.02.

Day 4 (March 8, 2009)
Men's 10m platform: 1. Aleksey Kravchenko (RUS) 501.20, 2. Yang Xiang (CHN) 475.20, 3. Anton Zakharov (UKR) 468.10.
Women's 3m springboard: 1. Lin Qu (CHN) 356.10, 2. Jun Dong (CHN) 344.40, 3. Melanie Rinaldi (CAN) 283.40.
